This website update with a greater focus on the artist’s portfolio and updated biography.
From the website: A native Californian, Linda Hanly has enjoyed the rich diversity of landscape and floral subjects offered year round as long as she can remember. She honed her skills between formal and informal studies, first interning during and after high school with the late Graphic Artist, Rick Tharp of Tharp Did It, from 1984-1988. Mr. Tharp’s artwork was featured on wine bottles, in restaurants, signage in the Bay Area, internationally and at the Smithsonian and Library of Congress. In his studio, Linda was introduced to a phenomenal world of graphic design, conceptual art, contemporary writers, illustrators and photographers, and taught a determined work ethic for which she will always be grateful. She achieved a BA in Fine Art from UC Santa Barbara and pursued illustration at the Academy of Art in San Francisco. She also attended the workshops of illustrator Mark English, and fine artists Brian Blood, Nancy Guzik, and Marcia Burtt. Linda continued her education online with the Watts Atelier and hopes to never end her studies with fine art masters, and to stay in the student mindset of continual curiosity and learning.
